SPECIAL DIRECTIONS FOR BLOODBORNE PATHOGENS: HIV-1, HBV and HCV:

KILLS HIV-1, HBV AND HCV ON PRE-CLEANED ENVIRONMENTAL SURFACES/OBJECTS PREVIOUSLY SOILED WITH BLOOD/BODY FLUIDS in health care settings (e.g., hospitals, nursing homes) or other settings in which there is an expected likelihood of soiling of inanimate surfaces/objects with blood or body fluids, and in which the surfaces/objects likely to be soiled with blood or body fluids can be associated with the potential for transmission of Human Immunodeficiency Virus Type 1 (HIV-1), Hepatitis B Virus (HBV), and Hepatitis C Virus (HCV).

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR CLEANING AND DECONTAMINATION AGAINST HIV-1, HBV and HCV ON SURFACES/OBJECTS SOILED WITH BLOOD/BODY FLUIDS.

Personal Protection: When handling items soiled with blood or body fluids use disposable latex gloves, gowns, masks, and eye coverings.

Cleaning Procedures: Blood and other body fluids must be thoroughly cleaned from surfaces and objects before application of this product.

Contact Time: Allow surface to remain wet for HBV and HCV 1 for 5 minutes, and for HIV-1 for 1 minute. These contact times will not control other viruses and bacteria.

One-step* cleaning and disinfection of toilet bowls and urinals: Remove water from bowl by forcing water over trap with a swab mop applicator. Press swab mop against side of the bowl to remove excess water from applicator. Apply 1 to 2 ounces of BIO-40 TB evenly, allowing sufficient time for product to cover entire surface of bowl for maximum cleaning. Swab bowl completely using a scrub brush or toilet mop, making sure to get under the rim. Let stand for 3 minutes (for Bloodborne Pathogens: allow surface to remain wet for HIV-1 1 minute and for HBV and HCV 1 for 5 minutes) and flush. If water cannot be removed from toilet, use product on the external surface and above waterline only.

To disinfect food processing premises: Before using BIO-40 TB, food products and packaging materials must be removed or carefully protected. For floors, walls and storage areas, hold container six to eight inches from the surface to be treated. Allow Bio-40 TB to wet the hard non-porous surface for 3 minutes (for Bloodborne Pathogens: allow the hard non-porous surface to remain wet for HIV-1 for 1 minute, and for HBV and HCV 1 for 5 minutes). Wipe off with a clean cloth, mop or sponge and thoroughly rinse all surfaces in the area with potable water. Visibly soiled areas must be pre-cleaned before using this product.

To disinfect food service establishment food contact surfaces: Before using Bio-40 TB, food products and packaging materials must be removed or carefully protected. For countertops, appliances, tables, hold container six to eight inches from the surface to be treated. Allow Bio-40 TB to wet the hard non-porous surface for 3 minutes (for Bloodborne Pathogens: allow the hard non-porous surface to remain wet for HIV-1 for 1 minute, and for HBV and HCV 1 for 5 minutes. Wipe off with a clean cloth, mop or sponge and thoroughly rinse all surfaces in the area with potable water. Visibly soiled areas must be pre-cleaned before using this product. Do not use on eating utensils, glassware and cookware.

Disinfection of animal quarters and kennels: Before using BIO-40 TB, remove all animals and feed from premises. Remove all litter and droppings from floors, walls and surfaces of facilities occupied or traversed by animals. Empty all troughs, racks, and other feeding and watering appliances. Thoroughly clean all surfaces with soap or detergent and rinse with water. Apply Bio-40 TB for disinfection of pre-cleaned animal quarters and kennels. Wet the hard non-porous surfaces with BIO-40 TB for a period of 3 minutes (for Bovine Viral Diarrhea Virus (BVDV) 1 for 5 minutes, for Feline Calicivirus and Rabies virus 30 seconds, and for Canine Parvovirus 10 minutes). Ventilate building and other closed spaces. Do not house animals or employ equipment until treatment has been set or dried. All treated equipment that will contact feed or drinking water must be rinsed with potable water before reuse.

Cooling Coils Disinfectant Cleaner: Bio-40 TB is a non-abrasive, ready-to-use, one-step*,1 disinfectant cleaner for small air conditioner, commercial air handling unit, or HVAC cooling coils and refrigeration equipment, refrigerator, or freezer evaporation coils. When using BIO-40 TB to disinfect and clean cooling coils or evaporation coils, disconnect power to the unit and allow hard non-porous surfaces to come to room temperature before applying product. Follow directions under the DISINFECTION, DEODORIZING AND CLEANING section.
