How Cooling Works
- The chemistry in the TRF is where the magic happens, the fluid can absorb the energy from the fire which reduces the chance of re-ignition and reduces the hazardous smoke and toxins given off by the battery.
The efficiency of how quickly the fluid knocks down the flame and removes the heat is all to do with the chemistry within the fluid. The TRF product is also non-hazardous, non-toxic and fluorine free.
The Cooling Works in 3 Levels
- The TRF fluid creates an endothermic reaction, absorbing the energy that is given off from a fire as heat, effectively acting as a super coolant.
2. By reducing the surface tension and disrupting the molecular structure of the fuel source by creating an endothermic reaction.
Secondary suppression is delivered by creating an inert gas, in lithium specifically it will prevent any build-up of self-generating additional oxygen from the breaking down of the cathode.
3. When induced into a dosing system the TRF also reduces the surface tension of the water. Making water 100% more effective.

Most water additive mixes are structured to break the surface tension of water making the water ‘wetter’ This improves the waters effect on the fire and the foam then supresses the ability of oxygen to enter the battery. Unfortunately, batteries produce their own oxygen and therefore the foam is unable to prevent reignition once the water has evaporated.
