RAPID, SAFE, AND CLEAN

YouTube video

SoRite is committed to revolutionizing the way the world approaches cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting. Founded with the mission to create faster, yet safer
solutions to kill bacteria and viruses, our flagship products set new standards for safety and efficacy.

When First Responders in California needed a solution to oxidize fentanyl, we dedicated two years to rigorous research, working with FDA and DEA-registered labs. The result? SoRite® DECON, a breakthrough product capable of destroying fentanyl, xylazine, and heroin in just 60 seconds.

Our patented technologies are designed to meet the evolving needs of those on the front lines. We are not just creating products; we are setting new standards for
safety and efficacy.

SoRite Decon: Directions for Use

Remediation Team

(No More Than Pencil Eraser Size)

Scope:  SoRite DECON recognizes visible powder incidents as a moderate risk to remediation personnel that may result in accidental exposure to dangerous opioids and other contaminants. These directions will ensure the proper utilization of personal protective equipment (PPE) and SoRite DECON solution to perform technical decon of the affected area and personnel.  These measures will reduce  the threat to remediation personnel of accidental exposure to dangerous opioids and limit secondary contamination.  You must adhere to your company specific Standard Operating Procedures pertaining to such scopes of practice involving powders that may be known or unknown to the remediation teams.

Directions:

  1. All personnel shall be trained to the level of the incident.
  1. All entrants and decon personnel shall don the appropriate PPE.  PPE determination is made by the authority having jurisdiction (AHJ).  Any incident shall utilize the (3) hazmat corridors: hot, warm, and cold zones. It is imperative that a decon plan exists prior to any entry into the HOT zone.
  1. Emergency procedures and equipment shall be reviewed prior to any entry into the hot zone.  Consider having Narcan available in the event of personnel exposure.
  1. If needed, discuss with law enforcement of evidence procedures should any samples of raw material need to be kept prior to entry.
  1. If the material that is involved in the incident is an unknown substance, the entry team can utilize a multi-drug test kit to identify the material.  If there is a positive result for fentanyl or heroin, SoRite DECON can be utilized to oxidize and reduce the threat associated with the substance.
  1. Care should be taken to prevent known or unknown substances to become airborne.
  1. The technician will remove a SoRite pre-treated towelette from the kit.
  1. The technician will gently lay the towelette over the visible powder in a way to limit powder from becoming airborne.  Do not just drop the towellete on the powder.
  1. Slight pressure shall be applied, using a gloved hand, to the towelette over the powder.
  1. Thoroughly wet the towelette and surrounding area utilizing SoRite DECON solution.  To apply, hold the dispersal device 6” to 8” away from the area being treated.  Wetter the better.
  1. Allow the towelette to stay in place leaving the affected surface wet for a minimum of 60 seconds.
  1. Once 60 seconds have elapsed or longer, with a gloved hand pinch the towelette ends together over the heaviest area of contamination.
  1. Bag and seal the affected towelette and gloves in a sealable plastic bag.
  1. Reapply an application of SoRite DECON to the affected area(s) by holding the dispersal device 6” to 8” away from the area being treated.
  1.  Wet thoroughly.
  1. The surface shall remain wet for a minimum of 60 seconds.
  1. Once 60 seconds have elapsed, the area shall be wiped clean utilizing a microfiber towel or can be left to dry.
  1. Bag and seal the used microfiber towels and all testing equipment.
  1. All used microfiber towels, towelettes, and testing equipment should be placed into a sealable plastic bag.
  1. Entry personnel shall then report to decon.
  1. Entry personnel shall drop all equipment in the drop zone prior to entering technical decon.  All sealable bags shall be sprayed with SoRite DECON solution.
  1. Using a sprayer and rain down method, SoRite DECON shall be applied to entry personnel beginning at the head and working all the way down to their boots.  Extra care should be given to high contact points such as gloves and boots.  Decon personnel shall be deconned using the same method.
  1. The PPE of the entry team abd decon team shall remain wet with SoRite DECON for at least 60 seconds prior to the PPE being doffed.

All PPE shall be bagged and disposed of according to local, state, and federal guidelines.

Scope:  SoRite Decon recognizes visible powder incidents as a moderate risk to entry personnel. The incident becomes more complex when an individual is deceased at the scene and will require decontamination before the body can be transferred to the coroner. The scope of this standard operating procedure is to ensure the proper utilization of personal protective equipment (PPE) and SoRite Decon solution to perform technical decon of the affected area, descendant, and personnel.

  1. All personnel shall be trained to the level of the incident.
  1. Any incident shall utilize the (3) hazmat corridors: hot, warm, and cold zones. All entrants and decon personnel shall don the appropriate PPE.  PPE determination is made by the authority having jurisdiction (AHJ).  It is imperative that a decon plan exists prior to any entry into the HOT zone.
  1. Emergency procedures and equipment shall be reviewed prior to any entry into the hot zone.  Consider having Narcan available in the event of personnel exposure.
  1. Discuss with law enforcement of evidence procedures should any samples of raw material need to be kept prior to entry.
  1. If the material that is involved in the incident is an unknown substance, the entry team shall utilize a multi-drug test kit to identify the material.  If there is a positive result for fentanyl or heroin, SoRite Decon shall be utilized to eradicate the hazards of the substance.
  1. Care should be taken to prevent unknown substances from becoming airborne.
  1. Utilizing the rain down method, SoRite Decon will be applied to the affected surface areas.  Once wet, thoroughly wet the substance by holding the applicator 6-8 inches from the surface.
  1. Allow the surface to remain wet for at least 60 seconds.
  1. Once 60 seconds have elapsed, entrants shall utilize a SoRite Decon wipe to wipe down the affected surface.  Allow the surface to air dry.
  1. Once the surface is dry, test the surface for contamination using a drug specific test.
  1. All testing equipment and wipes shall be placed into a bag for later disposal.
  1. Once contaminated surfaces within the structure have been decontaminated, SoRite Decon shall be utilized to thoroughly wet the descendant and their clothing.  After 60 seconds the clothing shall be removed and bagged for disposal.  SoRite shall then be applied to the body of the descendant.
  1. Once 60 seconds have elapsed, the body shall be moved to the decon line and rinsed off using water.
  1. Once deconned the body shall be dried and is deemed safe to be turned over to the corner.
  1. Once the contaminated surfaces and the descendant have been deemed decontaminated, entry personnel should spray SoRite Decon on their gloves and boots.  A SoRite Decon wipe is acceptable as well.
  1. Entry personnel shall then report to decon.
  1. Entry personnel shall drop all equipment in the drop zone prior to entering technical decon.
  1. Using a sprayer and rain down method, SoRite Decon shall be applied to entry personnel beginning at the head and working all the way down to their boots.  Extra care should be given to high contact points such as gloves and boots.
  1. The PPE of the entry team shall remain wet with SoRite Decon for at least 60 seconds prior to the PPE being doffed.
  1. All PPE shall be bagged and disposed of according to local, state, and federal guidelines.

HOW IT WORKS

SoRite® DECON is a potent oxidizing agent that destroys organic compounds. That’s because it works differently at the molecular level.

DECONTAMINATES AT THE MICROSCOPIC LEVEL

The effectiveness of SoRite DECON stems from the potent oxidizing ability of Sodium Chlorite, the primary active ingredient, as well as an effective proprietary blend of other ingredients that comprises the rest of the formula. Decontaminants rely on oxidizing agents to degrade opioids, such as fentanyl or heroin. The oxidizing agent in SoRite DECON is much more potent than the oxidizing agents that other decontaminant products use.

Our proprietary and patented formula, highlighted by Sodium Chlorite, oxidizes and destroys fentanyl and heroin. A number of chemical groups in fentanyl and heroin, especially the carbon linked nitrogens, are highly susceptible to oxidation which cleaves and destroys fentanyl and heroin at those locations.

SoRite Decon encapsulates the opioid. SoRite contains the active ingredient Sodium Chlorite.

The opioid begins degrading in SoRite. Sodium Chlorite rapidly breaks down the opioid.

The opioid is destroyed.

SoRite DECON NEW DECONTAMINANT TECHNOLOGY

SoRite DECON is the first to use Sodium Chlorite in such low concentrations — achieving the lowest toxicity category — yet the fastest degradation time, making it a superior decontaminant. It’s this technology that allows SoRite DECON to be so effective and still safe to use without protective equipment. There truly is no comparison when it comes to decontaminants.

DISINFECTS AT THE MICROSCOPIC LEVEL

The effectiveness of SoRite stems from the potent oxidizing ions that are contained in Sodium Chlorite, the primary active ingredient. Disinfectants rely on oxidizing agents to kill microorganisms. Sodium Chlorite is a much more potent oxidizing agent than the oxidizing agents contained in other disinfectants.

Sodium Chlorite oxidizes and destroys proteins and nucleic acids, DNA and RNA, that are key to the survival of pathogenic microorganisms that include viruses, bacteria and fungi. The effectiveness of SoRite stems from the fact that it can rapidly penetrate the cell walls of microorganisms, disrupt proteins and nucleic acids, thus killing the microorganisms.

SoRite droplet begins to penetrate bacteria.
SoRite contains the active ingredient Sodium Chlorite.

Bacteria cell wall inside SoRite droplet begins degrading bacteria cell wall. Sodium Chlorite rapidly breaks down the cell walls of bacteria.

Bacteria is destroyed. Cell walls are disrupted, which ultimately kills bacteria.

SODIUM CHLORITE IS SoRite

SoRite is the first to use Sodium Chlorite in such low concentrations—achieving the lowest toxicity category by the EPA—yet the fastest kill time, making it a superior antimicrobial agent. It’s this technology that allows SoRite to be so effective and still safe to use without protective equipment. There truly is no comparison when it comes to disinfectants.

DISINFECT IN SECONDS, NOT MINUTES

What is a Kill Time ?

“Kill time” is the amount of time a product must sit on a surface and remain visibly wet before it disinfects as promised. Kill times are often referred to as “dwell time” or “contact time.” They all mean the same thing. If the product is applied, and either dries or is wiped away before the kill time listed on the product label, the product will not provide the advertised benefit and is not guaranteed to be effective.

Who has time to wait?

Most disinfectants on the market have extremely
long kill times.” When was the last time you waited
4 minutes, or longer, to apply a disinfectant before
wiping and rinsing the surface?

If you’re like most,
the answer is never.

Nothing Works Faster
Than SoRite

SoRite has extremely fast kill times compared to the competition. Instead of having to wait minutes to work, SoRite kills bacteria and viruses in 15 seconds. Based on tests completed at Independent 3rd Party Certified GLP labs, SoRite has both sanitizing and disinfecting claims on kill times. This includes a 15-second kill time on hard-to-kill viruses like the Covid-19,^ and hard-to-kill bacteria like MRSA. Simply put: Nothing works faster
than SoRite.
